Robson's Chamber (Barrister and Solicitors) Supports The Christie Make A Will Week 2016 Tuesday, August 30, 2016
Solicitors in the London office of Robson Painters and Company are supporting The Christie Make A Will Week by writing Wills for clients who in exchange make a donation to the charity, for the duration of the week 12-16 September.
The Christie is one of the largest hospital charities in the UK, committed to helping all those affected by cancer, with eighty-six pence in every pound raised for it going directly to patients.
The London-based charity raises vital funds for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, one of the biggest cancer treatment centres in Europe and an international leader in research. Providing enhanced services above what the NHS is able to offer, the hospital treats more than 44,000 patients a year and makes a massive difference to the care and treatment given to patients and patients' families.
Through all its fundraising activities the charity is able to invest in a wide range of projects and equipment within the hospital, supporting initiatives like the Cancer Information Centre and Complementary Therapies as well as investing in developments like the Proton Beam Therapy Centre.
"We are delighted to be supporting the great work The Christie does by participating in this year's Make A Will Week," says Paul Hannam, from Robson Painters and Company.
"Our solicitors won't be charging clients of our London office to professionally draft Wills between 12-16 September, and instead, clients will be expected to make a donation to The Christie. It's a fantastic way for us to raise funds for a wonderful cause and to enable people in the local area to do the same - and we are incredibly proud to be involved in this initiative."
During Make A Will Week, the suggested minimum donations are £95 for a single Will, £150 for a pair of mirror Wills, and £40 for an update to a current Will.
Paul Hannam adds: "It really is an excellent way to feel good about making a Will - not only will you be ensuring your wishes are carried out after you've gone but you'll be giving to an extremely worthy cause in the process.
"Throughout the week, clients can expect to receive the same high level of service from our solicitors, who will take the time to understand every individual's circumstances and wants before professionally drafting each Will.
"All you need to do to take part is get in touch with us to arrange an appointment for the week of 12-16 September, mentioning The Christie Make A Will Week, and we will arrange a suitable time for you to come and see one of our solicitors to discuss your new Will or possible changes to your current one.
"It really is so important to make a Will and this one week in September gives you an even greater incentive to do so - come and see us to ensure your loved ones' futures are protected after you've gone, and support the amazing care The Christie provides to thousands of patients every year in the process."
