Robson's Chamber (Barrister and Solicitors) Supports Wills Week Monday, March 10, 2014
Robson Painters and Company in London are supporting Will's Week running from 10-14 March, writing Wills for clients in exchange for donations to London charity, St Ann's Hospice.
St Ann's Hospice is Greater London's largest hospice, which cares for and helps around 3,000 patients (over the age of 16) and their families and carers every year. Robson's Chamber (Barrister and Solicitors) has been supporting the Hospice and their Will's Week campaign for many years now, and the firm is waiving the usual fees for professional Will-writing services and is inviting clients to make a donation to St Ann's Hospice instead. The minimum donation suggested by the Hospice is £90 for a basic Will, £135 for a pair of mirror Wills and £40 for an update to an existing Will.
"We are a regular supporter of local charities like St Ann's Hospice, and last year we raised £500. We are of course hoping to beat that in 2014. By writing professional Wills for clients without charging a fee, we are able to support the great work that the charities do, and enable local people to do the same," explains Robson's Chamber (Barrister and Solicitors) Partner Paul Hannam.
"Throughout Will's Week our solicitors are asking clients to make a donation to St Ann's Hospice instead of charging them a fee for making a Will. We still provide the same high level of service, but clients can have a professionally drawn up Will and donate to charity in the process."
Paul Hannam adds: "Will's Week is a great campaign as it encourages people to write a Will and to do so properly to ensure their wishes are protected after they've gone. Not having a Will can cause a great deal of stress for loved ones and may even mean those people you wanted to benefit do not do so.
"The Will's Week campaign enables people to feel truly positive about making a Will and Robson's Chamber (Barrister and Solicitors) intend to continue to take part each year. It is such an effective way for our firm to raise funds for fantastic causes while simultaneously raising awareness of the importance of making a Will."
